Description:

Meissen group of five child gardeners. First modelled by J J Kaendler in 1767. This example c.1770. One girl holding an apple with other apples in her hat held by a stick over her back. The other girl holding flowers in her apron. One boy holding a basket of roses. Another boy with a basket of flowers and a pruning knife in his left hand. The central figure is of a boy holding a garland of flowers. The base embelished with gold.
