Meissen plaque. The bride Lavinia after Titian. The painting shows Titian's daughter Lavinia on her marriage to Cornelio Sarcinelli in 1555. The original painting can be seen in The Dresden Gallery Dresden. The Meissen factory used the Dresden Gallery as a sourse of inspiration and a number of the Gallery's works were copied onto plaques by the artists at Meissen. |
