Meissen model of a dancer holding a grotesque mask. Modelled by Paul Scheurich. It is thought that Scheurich based the model on a character from the opera the Tales of Hoffman by Jacques Offenbach which was performed in Berlin in 1932.The first models were produce only in white in 1937.
