Meissen cockatoo decorated using the high temperature resistant enamels, developed at the end of the twentieth centuary, which were applied over the glaze and fired at temperatures of between 1150C and 1200C. This caused the enamels to fuse into the glaze creating the soft rich effects typical of this technique. First modelled by Paul Walther in 1908.
