Meissen Bison. Modelled with red clay from Nuernberg, the resulting effect is now known as red-stoneware. This medium saw a revival of interest at Meissen in the 1920's and 1930's when a number of animals were produced. This Bison was first modelled by Erich Oehme in 1937.
