Pair of Meissen shepherd and shepherdess candlesticks. The man playing the bagpipes with a dog at his feet. The woman playing a flute with a sheep at her feet. both figures standing on rococco style bases. The figures were first modelled by J.J.Kaendler in 1750 and adapted as candelsticks by Leuteritz around 1860. - SOLD - |
