Meissen group of lovers first modelled by J J Kaendler c.1745. The couple seated on a raised bank embracing. The decoration uses the strong colours of the period and yet not distract from the fine modelling. The white of the womans dress contrasting with the sea green of the man's jacket and the yellow and red of his breeches.
